Questions
Straight answers, before the meeting.
The things borrowers most often want to know before they speak to us — including the ones about money, and the ones about what we are not.
Before you borrow
Do you arrange or sanction loans?
- No. The Loan CA advises and prepares. We do not lend and we cannot approve anything; every credit decision rests with the lender, on its own assessment.
Which loans do you cover?
- Home loans, loans against property, balance transfers and top-ups, personal and vehicle loans, education and gold loans, and on the business side: business loans, term loans, cash credit, overdraft, and bank guarantees or letters of credit.
Can you get me a lower rate?
- We cannot promise a rate, and we will not pretend otherwise. What we can do is help you understand what is genuinely negotiable in your case, and compare the whole cost rather than the headline number alone.
Should I apply to several lenders at once?
- Usually not. A cluster of simultaneous applications can look like pressure on your credit report. Part of our work is sequencing the approach so it reads well.
Working with us
How does the process work?
- It begins with understanding the requirement and the finances behind it, then building a coherent case, and only then approaching a lender. The full sequence is set out on our approach page.
What do you need from me to start?
- Only the broad shape at first — what you need, roughly how much, and by when. Please do not send confidential documents through the website. If a detailed discussion makes sense, we will agree a secure process.
Is my information confidential?
- Yes. What you share stays in the room. We publish no client names, no lender names and no deal details.
What if advice cannot help me?
- We will say so early, and tell you what would serve you better instead. A conversation that ends honestly is still a useful one.
Costs
How are your fees structured?
- Scope and fee are agreed with you, in writing, before any work begins. There are no open-ended meters and no surprises.
What does the first conversation cost?
- Nothing. The first conversation is exploratory and without obligation. It exists to establish whether advice can genuinely help.
Are there other costs to expect?
- Yes — but not from us. Lenders and third parties charge processing, legal, valuation and similar fees directly. Those are part of the all-in cost of borrowing, and we help you see them clearly.
Regulatory position
Is The Loan CA regulated by the RBI?
- No. We are not a bank or an NBFC, and we are not licensed, registered or regulated by the Reserve Bank of India. We do not accept deposits and we do not lend.
Is The Loan CA approved by ICAI?
- No. We are not approved, recognised, endorsed by, or affiliated with the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, and nothing here should be read as an ICAI endorsement.
Do you guarantee approval?
- Never. No honest adviser can. We prepare your case to be read clearly; the lender decides.
